Rules
1) Owners are legally responsible for their own dogs and any injuries caused by their dogs.
2) Owners must remain within the fenced area at all times.
3) Dogs must be leashed prior to entering and upon leaving the area. Gates to the area must remain closed at all times.
4) Owners must immediately clean up after their dogs. Failure to do so can result in a fine up to $500 (City of Chicago Ordinance 7-12-420).
5) Dogs with a known history of, or who exhibit, dangerous behavior are prohibited.
6) Dogs must be healthy, fully immunized, de-wormed, licensed and wearing id tags.
7) Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult; young children must be closely supervised.
8) No more than three dogs per person are allowed.
9) Puppies under four months old and female dogs in heat are prohibited.
10) Dogs must be watched at all times. (Although we encourage you to get to know the other guardians and their dogs, if your dog(s) bother another dog or guardian, you will be asked to control your dog(s) or leave. We will be policing ourselves and should all strive to set an example for other dog-guardians.)
11) Cooperation between dog owners is essential.
12) Normal park hours apply (The park closes at 10 PM. If your dog is a barker (like mine) we recommend not having them in the park later than 8 PM.)
13) If you are going to use the park, you will be expected to participate in periodic cleanups of the park. (The dates for these will be posted in advance.)
